How to track and report the executed Test Cases

Tracking executed Test Cases helps teams monitor progress, identify defects early, and ensure proper requirement coverage. Below is a simple guide to help you track and report test execution effectively.


1. Use Case of the Overview Tab

The Overview tab provides a quick summary of your testing status and overall progress.

It shows:

  • Passed, Failed, Blocked, Untested, Failed-In-Progress, and In-Progress tests

  • Total Test Cases and Test Runs

  • Linked Work Items/Bugs

  • Recent Activity updates


    Using Filters in the Overview Tab:

    You can use filters to refine the displayed data:

    • Use the date filter dropdown (Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, etc.)

    • Apply filters based on Test Case created date

    • Select Show All to view all Test Cases

    • Quickly filter and analyze execution results based on the selected time range

Purpose: Quickly trace execution results and monitor progress without opening detailed reports.


2. Use Case of the Reports Tab

Vansah Reports provide deeper insights into execution and coverage.

Report Categories:

  • Test Summary – Overall testing status

  • Test Execution – Detailed execution data

  • Burnup Execution – Progress over time

  • Traceability – Requirements Traceability Matrix, Requirements Traceability Summary, Test Folder Traceability Matrix, Test Folder Traceability Summary, Test Plan Traceability Matrix, Test Plan Traceability Summary
