The Test Plan Traceability Summary Gadget provides a quick overview of the traceability between Test Plans, Test Cases, Coverage and Work Items/Bugs.

This gadget helps teams easily monitor testing progress and understand how test cases are linked and executed within a test plan.


To Add the Test Plan Traceability Summary Gadget to your Jira Dashboard

  1. Go to your Jira Dashboard.

  2. Click Edit on the dashboard.

  3. Click Add a Gadget.

  4. Search for “Vansah – Test Plan Traceability Summary.”

  5. Click Add to include the gadget on your dashboard.

  6. Click Configure on the gadget.

  7. Select the Project and Test Plan you want to view.

  8. Apply any filters if required.

  9. Click Save to display the gadget report.


What Information the Gadget Shows

The Test Plan Traceability Summary Gadget displays an overview of testing progress and coverage for Test Plans in the selected project.

It shows:

  • Total Test Plans included in the report.

  • Coverage – Percentage and number of completed Test Cases in the Test Plan.

  • Not Covered – Test Cases that have not been executed yet.

  • In Progress – Test Cases that are currently being executed.

  • Work Items/Bugs – Bugs or work items linked to the Test Cases.

  • Detailed view of each Test Plan, including the number of Test Cases and their execution status (Passed, Failed, or Not Executed) Work items/bugs, info.

This helps teams quickly understand the testing progress, coverage, and traceability of Test Plans.
