Test Summary Report Gadget

Vansah Test Summary Report provides a real-time report on your Overall Testing Status with detailed Execution Coverage, Pass rate and Fail rate across your Test Folders and Jira Issues.

Add Test Summary Gadget to your Jira Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the desired Jira Dashboard and click Edit from the top right corner.

  2. Search for Test Summary in the search bar below Add a Gadget in the right panel.

  3. Select the Test Summary Gadget by clicking Add

  4. Now configure the report by selecting the filters to support your report.

  5. Click Save

Configuring a Test Summary Gadget

  1. First you will need to select the Jira project. The Jira project will be used to determine the Test Results based on your selected reporting type.

  2. Select Issue/Test Folder as a reporting type if you wish to report on Test Cases within specific Jira Issues and/or Test Folders. In the example the Test Summary report will be based on a Test Folder by the name of "Regression" and it will also include Test Cases linked to a Jira Issue Key = "TD-1"

  3. You can also filter Test Cases by specifying specific Test Case properties. Use the More + option or select an existing saved filter.

Understanding the Test Summary Report

Overview

In the Overview section you will see the distribution of your Test Cases across different states for each requirement configured in the gadget:

  • Planned

  • Completed

  • Outstanding

  • In Progress

  • Blocked

Key Metrics

Fail Rate

Displays the percentage of failed Test Cases among those completed and in progress. This metric helps identify areas that may need more attention.

Pass Rate

Shows the percentage of passed test cases among those completed and in progress. A high pass rate indicates good product quality and test coverage.

Coverage

Represents the percentage of executed test cases (both completed and in progress) out of the total planned. This metric helps track testing progress and completeness.

Test Run Issues

Access a list of all issues (such as defects) raised during test runs. For each issue, you can view:

  • Current status

  • Linked test case

This section helps you track and manage problems identified during testing, ensuring they're addressed promptly.

By using this dashboard, you can effectively monitor your testing progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and maintain a clear overview of your product's quality assurance efforts.

Configuration History

Click the three dots icon to view the Configuration History.

By selecting Configuration History, you will be able to view the older versions as well as the Configured Changes details. You can choose to restore previous versions using the Restore option.
