Vansah supports email notifications when Test Cases are assigned in Jira. This feature ensures your team stays informed in real time when ownership changes.
How It Works
When a Test Case is linked to a Jira work item and the assignee changes, Vansah triggers Jira’s native email notification system.
The Test Case assignee will receive an email notification from Jira.
Notes
The Assignee only receives an email notification if they are not the one making the change.
Email notification setting in the project must be enabled. By default this setting is enabled to send email notifications. see Notification under Miscellaneous Settings
Jira’s notification scheme is used to send the email.
Example Scenario
A Test Case linked to a Jira work item is reassigned from User A to User B in Vansah.
Jira’s email system immediately sends User B a notification email.
User B can click the link in the email to open the test case directly in Jira
