What’s new
Enhanced Test Execution Report (TER) Gadget
We’ve introduced comprehensive test execution status tracking directly within the TER Gadget, making it easier to evaluate testing progress at a glance, without expanding the report or navigating to other gadgets.
New Status Metrics Available
Test Folder Traceability Reports now display the complete folder tree path
When viewing reports or gadgets such as Traceability (RTM), Test Execution, or other Vansah reporting gadgets, the Test Folder tree now displays the full folder path.
Example:
Instead of only showing the last folder, the full path is now displayed:
Before:
Member Enrolment and Eligibility
Now:
Claims Submission / Member Enrolment and Eligibility
Link Jira Work Items to Test Folders
You can now link Jira work items directly to Vansah Test Folders, providing stronger traceability between requirements, user stories, epics, and your test structure.
What this means for you
Improved Traceability – Connect work items at the folder level to ensure all related tests inherit visibility.
Simplified Management – Easily organize and track testing against Jira work items without having to link items one by one at the test case level.
Enhanced Reporting – Linked work items automatically appear in Vansah traceability reports and gadgets, giving you complete end-to-end coverage insights.
Jira Notifications when Assigning Test Cases
Vansah now sends automated email notifications via Jira’s native notification system whenever a test case is assigned. This ensures team members are instantly informed when the assignee changes, without requiring extra setup.
Test Case Status Color Indicators
We’ve added color icons for Test Case status, making it easier to scan and identify progress at a glance.
A configurable color-coded status icon is now displayed to the right of each checkbox.
Icons match the corresponding status name, ensuring consistency across the UI.
This enhancement improves readability and helps users quickly distinguish between different statuses.
Export Reports and Gadget data to HTML/PDF
We’ve introduced the ability to export Vansah reports and gadget data into HTML downloadable format, giving you more flexibility when sharing and presenting test insights.
Export reports directly from Saved Reports and Jira Dashboards
Improved formatting: rows auto-expand, row heights adjust for readability
Export Test Plans to HTML/PDF
You can now export test plans directly from your Test Plans to HTML/PDF
Search and Filter Test Cases by Test Folders
You can now perform precise, flexible searches across Test Repositories and even across different projects, ensuring faster access to the right test cases for planning, execution, and reporting. This means you can search for Test Cases that are part of a selected set of Test Folders with conditions like AND/OR.
List All Sprints/Releases in a Project
Previously, Vansah only displayed the current Sprint/Release linked to a Jira Work Item. With this update, you now have the flexibility to choose how Sprints and Releases (Versions) are displayed for new or existing Test Runs.
Default setting: Only show Sprints or Releases linked to the Jira Work Item (as before).
New option: Display all Sprints and Releases in the project, regardless of whether they are linked to the Work Item.
This enhancement provides greater visibility and flexibility, making it easier to align your test activities with past, current, or upcoming Sprints and Releases.
Mandatory/Optional Field Control for Test Runs
We’ve introduced a highly requested enhancement to improve accuracy and consistency when executing test runs.
You can now configure whether Environment, Release, and Sprint fields are mandatory or optional during test run creation and execution.
Vansah Intelligence (AI) For Test Folders
Vansah’s next release introduces AI for Test Folders, giving you intelligent, automated support to design and refine your entire test repository structure directly inside Jira.
With AI for Test Folders, you can:
Instantly Generate Test Folder Structures
Select a folder in your Test Repository, click AI, and Vansah will recommend a logical, best-practice folder hierarchy based on your module, feature, or functional area.
Vansah Intelligence (AI) Test Cases for Test Folders
Vansah Intelligence AI now supports generating test cases directly from any Test Folder. By introducing folder descriptions across the entire folder tree, AI can automatically leverage:
The folder’s own metadata
Context from parent folders
Project repository-level descriptions
This ensures that test cases generated are more relevant, structured, and aligned to the testing scope without requiring additional manual inputs.
When a user selects a test folder, the AI will:
Extract metadata from the selected folder (e.g., description, scope, attributes).
Traverse up the folder tree to gather additional parent folder descriptions.
Incorporate repository-level context to align generated test cases with the overall project.
By combining metadata from multiple levels of the folder hierarchy, Vansah AI ensures that generated test cases:
Reflect the intent and scope of the entire testing domain
Maintain consistency across related test areas
Require less manual prompting to achieve accurate results
Provide improved traceability back to folder-level organization
This approach allows teams to create domain-specific, context-rich test cases with minimal effort, leveraging their existing folder structure as a source of truth.
New Dashboard Insights for Vansah Test Plans
A new way to visualize and track the progress of your Test Plans with Vansah Test Plan Insights page. This powerful dashboard brings together multiple reporting gadgets, giving you instant visibility into:

With these insights at your fingertips, you’ll be able to make faster, data-driven decisions, identify risks early, and keep your testing on track.

Selected Steps counter – live count of the steps you’ve highlighted.
Copy – copy selected steps (including step text, test data fields, and formatting) to paste into Slack, email, Jira comments, or a new test.
Clone– duplicate selected steps with content, test data, and formatting preserved; clones appear directly below and auto-renumber.

Attach – add evidence (e.g., screenshots, logs, videos) at the exact step.
Call – reference an existing test case within your script for reusable flows.
Delete – bulk delete with a confirmation and an Undo prompt
We have also introduced Drag & Drop to re-arrange Test Steps via handle
Bulk Edit Test Run Properties

Enhancements
Key | Area | Description |
VANS-6017 | Test Cases | You can now link or move Test Cases to any Test Folder within the same Jira project or across other projects. The enhanced Folder Tree view makes it easier to navigate and manage your folder structure.
New subfolders can be created on the fly during linking or moving, streamlining organization and maintaining a well-structured Test Case hierarchy.
|
VANS-5731 | Data Residency | Data Residency details, showing which data center your Vansah data resides in. This enhancement provides greater transparency and compliance visibility, allowing users to easily confirm where their testing data is stored.
|
VANS-5732 | Test Runs | We’ve improved the Test Execution breadcrumb by adding a tooltip that displays the full folder name when you hover over it. |
VANS-6000 | Test Plans | Exporting Test Plans to HTML now includes the full Test Plan name |
VANS-6044 | Config | Test Case type has been increased to 55 characters to allow for more descriptive Test Case Types |
VANS-5503 | Test Cases | We have introduced a new enhancement to automatically populate the Test Case Assignee field with the user who creates the Test Case against a Jira Work Item, Test Folder and Test Plan. |
VANS-5202 | Filters | Improve Filter List Box Usability inside Advanced Test Plans. The current filter list box is not wide or long enough, causing filter names to be truncated and requiring extra user interaction to view the full list.
Enhancement:
|
VANS-5233 | Test Folder Tree | When users resize the Test Folder tree panel in the Test Case Repository or Test Plans beyond a certain width limit (10 subfolders + ) , the folder structure stops rendering, resulting in missing folders. This impacts navigation and prevents users from accessing or selecting test cases.
Enhancement:
|
VANS-2604 | Test Plans | Currently, the Linked Issues for a Test Plan are not visible in the header section. This makes it difficult for users to quickly identify and track related bugs, as they must open each requirement individually to see the associated work items.
Enhancement: |
VANS-5735 | Test Runs | New improved Test Run tab across Vansah for consistency when managing Test Runs
|
Bug Fixes
Key | Area | Description |
VANS-6190 | Test Report | Defect counts from Test Runs are missing in the new Test Completion details section of Test Execution Report |
VANS-6170 | Test Plan | Folder hierarchy not preserved when adding folders with sub-folders to Test Plan |
VANS-5423 | Grid | Test Case Headline not displaying the full length inside Grid. |
VANS-5526 | Export | Exporting BDD/Plaintext steps into HTML format, the Actual Result field was not included in the exported output. |
VANS-5198 | Test Plan | Vansah was calling Estimated Time process twice when user clicks on refresh button for the plan. |
VANS-5555 | Test Plan | Jira project icon is not loading when selecting new projects for Test Folders |
VANS-5556 | Test Plan | When creating a Test Plan by selecting either a Test Folder or a Jira Work Item, Test Cases are not being included by default and user needs to Link them manually. |
VANS-5831 | Gadget | We have resolved an issue where the folder hierarchy was not displaying correctly in the Test Folder Tree Structure (TFTS) and Test Folder Traceability Matrix (TFTM) gadgets/reports. Test folder navigation is now clearer and more intuitive. The traceability matrix reflects the correct folder relationships, improving reporting accuracy and usability. |
VANS-5761 | Filters | Applying filters based on custom fields returned incomplete or no results. |
VANS-5734 | AI | Creating Test Cases using Vansah Intelligence (AI) for a Jira Work Item does not automatically assign the Test Cases to the creator. Expected behavior is that the Test Cases should inherit the Assignee field from the logged-in user who initiated the AI generation process. |
Security Fixes
Key | Area | Description |
VANS-5658 | Test Run | We have released a patch to address a security issue identified through our Bug Bounty program. The issue could allow a hacker to manipulate Test Results or disrupt system availability.
We remain committed to safeguarding your data and continuously improving the security of our platform. |
