A “Bulk Action” for Test Cases refers to the ability to perform a single action that affects multiple Test Cases simultaneously, within Vansah Test Management for Jira. This feature is useful when you need to apply a particular action, change, or attribute to a group of Test Cases, which can save time and effort in managing Test Cases.
You can perform the following Bulk Actions for your Test Cases from the Vansah Board
1. Edit Properties
2. Edit Assignee
3. Edit Status
4. Delete Case
Edit Properties
To bulk Edit Test Case Properties follow the below steps:
1. Click on Vansah tab in the left panel from your Jira Project to open the Vansah Board.
2. Select the Test Cases for which you wish to update the Properties.
3. Click on the ellipsis (three dots icon) and go to Bulk Actions.
4. Select Edit Properties and click Next.
5. Select a Bulk Action you’d like to perform and the subsequent options available, then click Update.
Note: An option to Reset Labels with values selected will be displayed before update. Users can choose to select or leave blank as per requirement.
Edit Assignee
To bulk Edit Test Case Assignee follow the below steps:
1. Go to the Vansah Board.
2. Select the Test Cases for which you wish to update Assignee.
3. Click on the ellipsis (three dots icon) and go to Bulk Actions.
4. Select Edit Assignee and click Next.
5. Use Search Assignee field to search by name.
6. Select the name from the dropdown options and click Update.
Edit Status
You can bulk Edit Status between Blocked and Unblocked for the Test Cases Linked to a Folder
To Bulk Edit Status follow the steps below:
1. Go to the Vansah Board.
2. Select all the Test Cases for which you wish to edit the Status.
3. Click on the ellipsis (three dots icon) and go to Bulk Actions.
4. Select Edit Status and click Next
5. Choose Block or Unblock from the dropdown and click Update.
Delete Case
To bulk Delete Test Cases follow the below steps:
1. Go to the Vansah Board.
2. Select all the Test Cases you wish to Delete.
3. Click on the ellipsis (three dots icon) and go to Bulk Actions.
4. Select Delete Cases from the Choose Test Case Bulk Action options and click Delete.
5. Click the Delete button to confirm and Delete the Test Cases.
Note: Action will be confirmed with the message ‘Bulk Action Successful’ displayed in the top right of the screen
