Managing a Test Case version from a requirement
Updated over 2 months ago

A requirement such as a Jira Story (issue) or a Test Folder and Test Plan can be associated with a particular Test Case version.

To know which version of a Test Case is associated with the requirement you will need to open the Test Case versions from the requirement. This will now display the available versions of the Test Case along with each version

In the example above you can see that the Test Case currently has three versions of which only v1 and v2 are associated with the requirement being Issue (NWFD01) for the Test Case.

    • Click on the version number of the Test Case.

  3. View Test Case Versions

    • In the Modal, you will see a list of all versions for the Test Case.

Active Test Case version for a Requirement

You can choose to make any Test Case version as Active for the requirement which it is associated with. When you associate a Test Case to a requirement, the default Test Case version at the time will become the Active version.

You can change the Active version of the Test Case for the requirement by setting the version to Active. This will only make that particular version as Active for the requirement being managed. All other requirements which have the same Test Case will not be impacted.

See below example demonstrating how you can change the Active version of a Test Case for a requirement:
