Depending on the Jira project, you may wish to enable default Jira features as part of your Vansah project.
By default, most settings will be enabled and ready to be used only if your Jira project supports them.
Under Misc settings, you will have options to configure extra Jira settings to be used as part of Vansah
The options to activate or deactivate in your Jira Project for Vansah:
Components (If enabled, and your Jira project supports Components. This will allow test cases to be linked to existing project components. Vansah Testing board, Vansah Jira Reports, and Gadgets will also include components as a filter option.)
Labels (If enabled, this will allow test cases to be linked to existing Jira workspace Labels. Vansah Testing board, Vansah Jira Reports, and Gadgets will also include labels as a filter option.)
Sprint (If enabled, and you are using Sprint/s or Scrum/Agile in your Jira project. This will allow test cases to be identified based on the Jira Issue which is part of the sprint. Vansah Testing board, Vansah Jira Reports, and Gadgets will also include Sprint selection option to report, plan and execute tests based on the sprint)
Release (If enabled, and your Jira project supports Releases/Versions. This will allow test cases to be linked executed based on the Version linked to the Jira Issue. When a user runs a test against a Jira Issue, Vansah will determine the available Versions linked to the Issue and request the user to select a valid Version for Testing. Vansah Testing board, Vansah Jira Reports, and Gadgets will also include Release/Version as a filter option.)
Environment (If enabled, this will allow test cases to be executed against a Test Environment. Vansah Testing board, Vansah Jira Reports, and Gadgets will also include Environments as a filter option.)
Quick Test By default this is enabled for new projects. (If enabled, this will allow you to execute your Test Cases against a Jira Issue using a Simple Result (Passed, Failed, N/A, Untested) Label. Great for Quick Test Execution Cycles mostly used by Agile Teams. You can still perform a Full Test Execution by Selecting Execute.
Notify Jira issue Comment will allow you to monitor Test Case results through Jira Activity comments
When a Test Case Passes : If enabled, you will be notified of a passed Test Case result (By default this setting deactivated)
When a Test Case Fails : If enabled, you will be notified of a Failed Test Case result
When Linking and Issue to a Test Step : If enabled, this will add a comment to the Jira Issue showing the link.
When a user Adds, Links, Unlink a Test Case : If enabled, this will notify you of the Test Case/s added or removed from the Jira Issue. You will be able to click on the Link and view the set of Test Cases
