Configure settings to manage Testing activity in Jira Activity Stream

Control how Vansah posts test results as comments in the Jira Work Item Activity Stream

When you execute a Test Case against a Jira Work Item, Vansah can post the result as a comment in the Work Item’s Activity stream.

You can control which events create these comments.

What gets posted by default

By default, Vansah can add Activity comments when:

  • A Work Item is linked to a Test Run

  • A Test Case is added, linked, or unlinked

  • A Test Case fails

Steps to configure Activity stream notifications

  1. Open Vansah Space Settings in your Jira space.

  2. Select Miscellaneous.

  3. Under Notify Jira Work Item Comment, enable or disable:

    a) When a Test Case passes

    b) When a Test Case fails

    c) When linking a Work Item to a Test Run

    d) When a user adds, links, or unlinks a Test Case

Notes: Only completed results appear in the Activity stream (for example, Pass Completed or Fail Completed).

You can customise these notifications in Vansah Settings.

  1. Open Vansah Space Settings in your Jira Space.

  2. Select Miscellaneous from the left-hand menu.

  3. Under Notify Jira Work Item Comment, enable or disable:

Note: Only completed Test Cases (Pass Completed or Fail Completed) appear in the Activity Stream.
