When you create a Jira Space, choose a key that meets your long-term needs. Changing it later is possible but may have side effects.
Note: Changing your Jira Space key may break existing links, workflows, or app integrations.
Does Vansah handle Space key changes?
Yes. Vansah automatically updates all references to the previous key. No manual changes are needed inside Vansah.
The update happens the next time you open a Jira Work Item or access Vansah within your Jira Space.
How to change your Jira Space Key:
1. Log in to Jira with admin privileges.
2. Go to Jira Settings (gear icon, top right).
3. In the sidebar under Jira Settings, click Spaces.
4. Find the Space you want to update and click Space settings.
5. In the Details section, update the key to a unique value.
6. Click Save.
After saving, all Test Cases, Dashboards, and Confluence Gadgets will automatically use the new Space key.
