Easily migrate your data from Tricentis to Vansah Test Management for Jira using Vansah’s built-in migration tool. This feature ensures a seamless transition by preserving all key test information and configurations from your Tricentis projects in Jira, helping you get started with Vansah quickly and efficiently.
Step-by-Step Migration Guide
1. Access Vansah Plugin Migrations
From your Jira workspace:
Go to Apps → Vansah.
Select Plugin Migrations from the Vansah menu.
2. Select Migration Type
In the Vansah Plugin Migrations dropdown, choose Tricentis.
Click Next to continue.
3. Choose the Jira Project
Select the Jira Project that contains the Tricentis data you want to migrate.
Note: You must be a Project Administrator for the project you wish to migrate.
Once selected, click Next.
4. Enter API Tokens
To authorize the migration, enter the required tokens:
Tricentis Token
Jira Token
Vansah Token
To generate a new token, click the link next to each field.
Once all tokens are entered, select Next to continue.
Vansah will validate each token to ensure you have the necessary permissions to access and migrate data.
5. Verify Your Email
If Vansah cannot confirm your Jira account email from the migration session, you’ll be prompted to enter it manually.
This email address will be used for migration updates and completion notifications.
6. Data Review in Progress
Vansah will begin reviewing your Tricentis data.
⚠️ Do not close the screen while the review is in progress.
This process prepares your data for migration and should complete shortly.
7. Review Migration Summary
Once the review is complete, Vansah will display a summary of the Tricentis data to be migrated.
You can review key sections such as:
Test Cases
Test Plans
Test Executions
Related Issues and Attachments
Review the summary carefully before proceeding.
8. Confirm Migration
When you’re ready, select Confirm to start the migration process.
A migration job will be created automatically.
You may safely close the screen while Vansah completes the migration in the background.
9. Monitor Migration Progress
An email notification will be sent once the migration job starts.
A second email will confirm when the migration is complete.

More → View Progress
10. Completion
Once all data has been successfully migrated, you’ll see a DONE status next to each migrated item.
You can now open your Jira project, access Vansah, and view your fully migrated data — ready to continue test management in Vansah.
