Test Folder Path in Test Case export

How to export Test Folder paths in Test Cases

The path of the Test Folder represents the hierarchical structure of each Test Folder linked to a Test Case.

Before you begin

  • Ensure your Test Cases are linked to one or more Test Folders.

  • You need permission to export Test Cases in the Jira Space.

When you link a Test Case to a Test Folder in your Jira space repository, the exported Test Case file will contain all the Test Folders linked to the Test Case in a comma-delimited format under the “LINKED TEST FOLDERS” column.

The format for the Test Folder path starts with the Jira Space Key followed by the folder tree path.

For example:

TD/e2end Test Plan (release)/app testing/

This will represent: Space Key/folder_1/folder_2/

Steps to export Test Folder Path (Linked Test Folders)

  1. Open Vansah in your Jira Space

    Notes / Troubleshooting

    • If the Linked Test Folders column is empty, confirm the Test Case is properly linked to a Test Folder before exporting.
