You can customize user permissions required to access Vansah functions by using Jira groups. This allows you to restrict project functions like "Create Test Cases" or "View Test Case" to Jira Groups in your workspace.
Where to Find Group Permissions
Access Vansah Space Settings
As a Jira Space Administer:
Open Vansah from your Jira Space.
Click the Settings icon (gear ⚙️) in the top-right corner.
Select Space under Vansah Settings.
Assign Jira Groups to Vansah Functions
Once in Space Settings, select Permissions from the left-hand menu.
You will see a list of available Vansah permissions like:
Manage Space Settings
View Work Item Screen
Vansah Intelligence
Create/Edit Test Cases
Under the Jira Group column, use the dropdown to select one or more groups for each permission
Note: Once you assign a group to a Vansah function, the default Jira permissions required is overridden, and only the selected groups will be allowed to perform that function.
Jira Groups for Vansah Functions
Using Jira groups allows you to control which users in your organization can access specific Vansah functions for a Jira space. As soon as you assign one or more groups to a Vansah function, it replaces the default Jira permissions requirement for that function.
This means only users in the selected Jira group(s) will be able to use that Vansah feature giving you more targeted control over space access.
Example
If you assign the Jira group system-administrators and jira-software-users-vansah
to the View Test Case permission, only users in that group will be able to view Test Cases for your Jira space.
Default Jira Permissions when no Group (s) selected
By default, Vansah relies on the Jira permissions listed in the table below to determine whether a space user can perform specific Vansah functions.
This means, if no Jira Group (s) have been selected against the function, Vansah checks a user's access based on their existing Jira permission as shown in table below.
Note: To manage Vansah Space Settings (#1 in Table) all users must have Administer Space Jira permission irrespective of which group they belong to. This is a Jira limitation. (We are working to resolve this with Atlassian to by pass this requirement).

Go to any Jira space and access Vansah permissions for the space.
Configure Your Permissions (if needed)
Adjust the group access by using the dropdowns next to each permission (e.g.,
Manage Project Settings,View Test Case, etc.).Use the “Choose Groups” dropdown to assign Jira groups for each permission.
Open More Options
In the top-right corner of the permissions list, click the three vertical dots (⋮) to open more options.
Click “Update Master Permissions”
To Load Master permissions:
From the dropdown menu, click on “Load Master Permissions”.
This will overwrite your current project’s permission settings with the saved Master Permissions template.
