Labels are short tags added to test cases to describe what they are related to, such as a feature, module, or test type. One test case can have multiple labels, making it easier to organize and find later.

Managing Labels in Vansah

Follow the steps below to add or manage labels for test cases in Vansah.

1. Enable Labels in Vansah Space Settings

  • Open your Jira project and select Vansah from the Jira space.

  • Open Vansah Space Settings using the gear icon on the right side.

  • Select Project and navigate to Miscellaneous.


  • Enable Labels for Vansah Test Cases.


  • Go back to Vansah and open Test Cases.


  • Open any test case to view the Labels field.

  • Search existing Jira labels or create a new label by typing and selecting Create.

2. Add Labels to a Test Case

  • Open the test case

  • Locate the Labels field.

  • Type a new label name and press Enter to add it.

  • You can add multiple labels to the same test case.


3. Use Labels for Filtering Test Cases

Labels help you quickly find and group related test cases by feature, module, or release.

Use Labels for Filtering Test Cases from the Vansah Board

  1. Open Vansah Board and go to Test Cases.

  2. Click Filters + and select Label.

  3. Choose a label to filter the test case list.

  1. Open a Jira work item.

  2. Open Vansah Test Management and go to Test Cases.

  3. Use the Label filter to view related test cases.

Filtering Test Cases by the label is also available from Test Plan page from the Filter option


How Vansah Labels Sync with Jira Labels

Vansah integrates seamlessly with Jira to ensure consistency between test cases and Jira work item.

When a test case is linked to a Jira work item:

  • Any label added or updated in Jira work item is reflected in Vansah

This synchronization improves traceability between requirements, bugs and test cases.
