Add New Variables to a Test Data Collection Version

Variables allow you to store reusable test data that can be dynamically resolved at execution time based on the selected environment and version.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that:

  • A Test Data Collection already exists.

  • You have access to the specific version where you want to add variables.

  • You have edit permissions for the Test Data Collection

Steps to Add New Variables

1. Go to Test Environments or the Test Case that contains the Test Data collection

2. Expand the Test Environment

3. Select the Test Data Collection

4. Select the Version

5. Select the Version to manage

6. Select Add Variable

7. Enter new variable (Mandatory)

8. Click the lock icon to view or modify the variable's security or editing permissions.
